Who we are
Forest Transport Ltd. is a transportation company that has been in the forestry business for over 40 years. We are an important link in the logging logistics chain in Northern Ontario, with our main base of operations in the Greenstone area. We specialize in the transportation of raw fibre products from the forest to the sawmill by logging trucks using forest access roads or provincial highways. We also transport bioproducts from the sawmill to other processing facilities. Our fleet consists of modern trucks with straight trailers, “B” train chip vans, log and float trailers.
What we do
We have a maintenance shop located in Longlac, Ontario where we service and repair trucks and trailers belonging to us and our brokers. We have a licensed mechanic on staff. Safety is the #1 priority in our industry. Forest Transport takes pride in our emphasis on safety. We are a competitive trucking company offering competitive rates, living out allowance, travel allowance and a benefits package. Accommodations are provided in Longlac and Nakina.
Our Team
We have built a team of dedicated and talented employees. Our staff consists of a general manager, an office administrator, truck drivers as well as shop personnel. We also contract chip haul and log haul brokers.
